The Secret Ingredient for Staying Popular & Profitable | FoodPower is a restaurant consulting firm that coaches industry leaders to leverage strengths, create concepts, refine menus & identify opportunities to increase revenue & capatalize on the changes in today's dining out patterns.
I am proud to be a member of the culinary world and work with the crazy people who own, operate, manage, cook and serve guests every day. I studied "hospitality" at Cornell, but you can never fully understand it, till you're in it - living and breathing it. For me, it was carrying the keys of my own restaurant that helped me to understand the rhythm of the industry. Our world is constantly changing, amazingly innovative, diverse, fun and we are frantically fusing fresh, seasonal, sustainable, farm-to-table ingredients with international flavors...
Here are four restaurants with leadership that are worthy of noting.

ALL HAIL THE KING OF KALE
Dr. Andrew Weil, of True Foods Kitchen will always be, in my eyes, the creator of the Kale culture.  In his work as a doctor, teacher, and best-selling author focusing on the anti-inflammatory diet, he started many on a path of healthier eating. He found the right variety, Tuscan black kale, grew the kale on his ranch, and developed the healthy salad that is an addition to menus everywhere.  I admire the restaurant concept, True Foods Kitchen that he and Sam Fox created in Arizona in the 80’s that has expanded to 10 from coast-to-coast. The brand and every detail is created with a clear understanding of their customer base. The décor and innovative touches from cooking classes to Yoga classes promote this hip and healthy concept.   And the entire menu is a healthy course in dining with great flavors and textures that are totally devoid of deprivation.
